Who is it for?

Foundation degrees allow people already employed to undertake a programme of study in order to get ahead in their chosen career, whilst continuing to work. Some students may also undertake a Foundation degree when returning to work or changing their career. They are an important pathway into Higher Education for those who cannot commit financially to three-years of study at a university or whose situation requires them to study locally. A few of our Foundation degrees e.g. Photography can also be taken by students progressing on from A level or equivalent study. Formal qualifications are not always necessary for entry on to a Foundation Degree. However, an individual’s existing experience, achievements and desire to learn are taken into account.
