New College has moved to its new state-of-the-art building. The Brand new building boasts a large learning resources centre, a modern cafe and food hall. Each classroom is IT-connected with the latest computer hardware and software.
The Performing Arts students will be running regular shows in the new 250 seat theatre which will be open to the general public. NCFM - New College Radio - runs a lunchtime music selection from the new digital editing suites.
The building itself is light and airy with some modern air conditioning and a futuristic design, built with the environment in mind - it puts energy conservation as a top priority.
The College is now directly accessible from Queens Drive reducing traffic
congestion for local residents. A special bus lane will run past the College
and through the new housing development improving access for both students
and residents in the area.
